“Low income and working class parents must be empowered to choose the best learning environment for their children. These families have no financial resources to get their voices heard. The American Federation For Children is proud to use its resources to help families gain access to educational options and show voters which candidates support parental choice in education.”

John F. Kirtley is the founder and chairman of Step Up for Students. He created the Children’s Scholarship Fund of Tampa Bay in 1998, which provides privately funded scholarships for low-income children to attend the K-8 school of their choice.
