The Georgia Promise Scholarship is an education choice program designed to provide eligible students with the opportunity to use public funds for non-public education expenses in grades kindergarten through 12th grade

Program offering: A financial award, up to $6,500 per student for the first year (2025-2026 academic year).

    • Proof of Georgia residency: you will be required to upload either a Georgia issued driver's license or state ID as well as one of the following: utility bill (gas, water, or electric), mortgage statement, bill of house sale, or lease agreement.

    • If you are Active Duty Military transferring into the state of Georgia within the past year, you will be required to upload a copy of your active duty orders placing you within the state of Georgia in the past year instead of the above residency documents.

    • Proof of Income: you will be required to upload your most recent federal 1040 or 1040 EZ tax form.

    • School enrollment records: you may be required to upload proof of public school attendance during the 2024-2025 academic year such as report cards or attendance reports. This will not be required for kindergarten students.

    • All students zoned for underperforming public school districts rated by the state of Georgia as in the bottom 25% of schools, even if not yet attending.

    • Students cannot already receive the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship or Georgia Students Scholarship Organization funds.

    • Application open: The online application portal will open on March 1, 2025 and closes on April 15, 2025.

    • Funding availability: Initial funding will be available on or after July 1, 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year.
