School Choice Means Education Freedom for Texas.

School choice changes lives. 

Numerous studies show that students in school choice programs perform better academically, are more likely to attend college, and are more successful members of society. 

In addition, the competition that comes with school choice will help make public schools better, more transparent, accountable, and fiscally responsible. 

Some school choice proposals in Texas would establish Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) to provide families with $10,000 per child for tuition and additional expenses such as textbooks, transportation, and therapy. That could have a huge positive impact. 

ESAs are overwhelmingly popular in Texas. A new University of Houston poll showed that two-thirds of all Texans, or 67%, support school choice.  

All children deserve the opportunity to attend the school that best fits their needs and values. A brighter future for Texas families is right around the corner.
